Ivy and Robert were married on January 2nd, 2009. The couple–who met on match.com hired Vancouver-based photographers Chris+Lynn to capture their New York City nuptials. Their winter-wonderland wedding was planned by Simply Dazzling Events and took place at Russo’s on the Bay.
at first glance
Ivy wore two gowns during the course of the wedding day. The first–an Eve of Milady and the second a Lazaro, were both purchased in New York City. Her bouquet by Verbena Designs featured a vibrant cluster of dark red roses and calla lilies with Swarovski crystals throughout. After getting ready at The Plaza Hotel, Ivy and Robert saw each other for the first time at Grand Central Station, before heading to the ceremony where they would exchange vows.

The winter season was incorporated into the ceremony and reception venues using cool blue tones in the lighting design. The couple also personalized the day with ‘literally tons’ of their favourite foods for their guests to enjoy. They also had a signature martini that included their favourite colour blue and their favourite fruits (peach & apple). The couple honeymooned in Maui at the Fairmont Kea Lani Resort. They now reside in NYC.
