Lacey and Blake we're married on July 15th, 2011. The elegant ceremony took place at
Cedar Creek Winery in Kelowna, BC.
THE DRESS AND ACCESSORIES: Strapless ivory tissue organza ballgown with illusion corset bodice, and french tulle veiled metallic hand painting,
with grosgrain sash at natural waist, and a floor length veil from Vera Wang.
Diamond stud earrings and 2 diamond bangles completed the look.
A feather flower hair-piece was bought the week before at a local bridal boutique,
Ten Fashions Bridal Boutique in Kelowna, BC.
Her shows were metallic flat open-toed ballet slippers with crystal detailing on the toe, by Vera Wang.
Lacey's Rings - An antique inspired cushion cut diamond, pave-set engagment ring
with a round diamond eternity wedding band.
Blake's Ring - A wide brushed metal band with polished sides.
THE BRIDESMAIDS AND BOUQUETS:
The girls wore blush chiffon floor length gowns designed by Amsale.
Bride's Bouquet: White roses, white hydrangeas and white peonies.
Bridsmaids' Bouquets: White roses, white hydrangeas with blush garden roses.
"We had a monogram designed for our stationery that we included throughout our wedding. We included as many friends and family as we could throughout the planning process so that our wedding was personalized. We donated to the SPCA in lieu of favors to include our french bulldog 'Reed'..." remembers Lacey.
THE CEREMONY:
The ceremony was at Cedar Creek Winery. As guests arrived there was a table with wooden fans and ceremony programs in different height glass containers along with white parasols and water available to stay cool. The ceremony aisle included shephard hooks which hung round bouqets of white roses. The altar had two white vases of white hydangeas and blush roses. White rose petals were placed in a circular shape
for the Bride and Groom to stand in.
THE RECEPTION:
The entrance into the tent included a seating chart that was mounted in a white antiqued frame with blush roses
at the base. Large branches with white flowers framed the entrance into the tent. Inside the tent all tables were set up with white linens, white sheer overlay, white chiavari chairs, silver charger plates and menus (to match stationery) placed on top of white dinner plates. Various tables had low centerpieces of white and blush roses with white hydrangeas. The remaining tables had tall glass vases with gorgeous white hydrangeas. Crystal chandeliers hung from the sheer draping inside the tent. In the middle of the tent was a large dance floor with 9 round tables on each side. The head table was a long table that overlooked the dance floor and was between the two sets of round guest tables. The hosted bar was found in the back corner for guests to visit surrounded by white draping.
The entire wedding was luxurious, light, and airy.
TREATS:
A mixture of regular and mini vanilla and chocolate cupcakes with peachy pink buttercream icing, sprinkled
with clear crystal sprinkles sat on crystal stands. A vanilla cake for cutting had
a hint of coconut flavouring.
